Pray for Kyrgyzstan--Ramadan 2024

Today let’s pray for the written word of God (physical Bibles, electronic Bibles, audio Bibles) to be broadly sown and made widely accessible, so that every person in Kyrgyzstan may have the opportunity to read or listen to God’s Word.

Exalting His Name

Deal bountifully with your servant,
    that I may live and keep your word.
Open my eyes, that I may behold
    wondrous things out of your law.
I am a sojourner on the earth;
    hide not your commandments from me! (Psalm 119:17-19, ESV).

Praying for the Harvest and the Church

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Roman 1:16-17, NIV)

Pray for ministries that are currently doing work to make God’s Word accessible–pray for favor, funding and open hearts.

Pray for more initiatives and campaigns to make the Word widely accessible and bring it to people’s attention, especially over social media platforms like Instagram.

Pray for favor with the government for all of these ministries, that they will be shielded from notice and allowed to work freely, despite many various restrictions on religious work in Kyrgyzstan.

Pray that God would move in such a way, that every home in Kyrgyzstan might have access to a Bible, and that the word would be honored, not stigmatized or held at arm’s length.

Pray for believers to share the wealth of God’s word generously and sensitively with many friends, family and acquaintances.

Worship and Waiting

This time can be an opportunity to turn on some instrumental music and continue to pray into this theme or just spend some time quietly with Him.

Praying by Name

Ask the Lord to open the hearts of your friends to search for or receive a Bible into their home.

Closing Prayer

Father, please increase the sowing of your Word in Kyrgyzstan in this coming year. May it go out over the internet, over the airwaves, get into people’s hands in written form and may you raise up many faithful witnesses to share the gospel with many. Please burden the hearts of communicators, programmers, project managers, engineers to innovate distribution methods for the Word in Kyrgyzstan. Please burden pastors and invidividual believers to do all they can to sow your word widely this year. For your glory and your fame. Amen.
