After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a number of believers were added to the local church in Kyrgyzstan. One of the strengths of the local church is that it continues to seek different ways to reach out into the surrounding community and share the good news.
Some local gatherings have seen a number of young people showing openness to the Lord and a number coming to faith in the Lord through youth clubs and summer camps which have been run by young people within the church. In order to see these new believers continue to thrive, there is a need for ongoing discipleship which is centered on the Word and immersed in loving relationships within the body of Christ.

Exalting His Name
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)
God, you are all-wise, and we don’t fully understand your ways, but we yield to your wisdom. Please teach us more about your ways and show us how you long to to give people new life and help them to grow in that life. This is only from you and through you and all the glory goes back to you!
Praying for the Harvest
I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9, NLT)
Praying for the Church
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6-7, NKJV)
Pray that every part of the body in Kyrgyzstan be encouraged, engaged, empowered and equipped to take up its unique role in God’s plan for discipling and building up new believers.
Worshiping and Waiting
This time can be an opportunity to sit still, turn on a worship song or ask the Lord if there’s anything else he’d like you to pray for today for the church in Kyrgyzstan.
Praying by Name
Pray for your friends, that God would send people to plant and water seeds of the gospel in their lives. Pray that the Holy Spirit would move in their hearts to receive these seeds and cause them to grow…
Closing Prayer
Dear Lord, we thank you for your precious body in Kyrgyzstan. Thank you for how you have been faithfully continuing to save and transform lives. We pray that you would continue to grant every part of the local church a strong desire for providing consistent biblical discipleship to those who turn to you. We ask Lord that you would raise up spiritual mothers and spiritual fathers who would open their homes and share their lives with those turning to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
